Burn Fat with Fat - Ketogenic Diet

The ketogenic diet aims to put the body in a state of ketosis, where the main source of energy comes from ketone bodies. The three biological relevant ketone bodies are acetone, acetoacetic acid, and beta-hydroxybutyrate.
Once the primary source of energy, glucose, is used up, the body starts to produce ketone bodies as an alternative energy source. There are two ways to induce ketosis;
1. a high-fat and very low-carb diet (<50g/d)
2. fasting for until the glycogen storage is used up (depending on diet and exercise level).
